Our mid-day meal is supplied by St Margaret’s School kitchen and served by Kathy Mooney on the Infant site and Caroline Williams on the Junior site.
Since September 2006, every pupil taking a school lunch is guaranteed, by law, a balanced, nutritious meal. Menus are sent out by Derbyshire County Council each term. The main course does not generally have a choice and is usually a meat or fish dish, unless the child is a vegetarian. A salad bar is always available. The dessert can have up to 3 choices and there is always a choice of drinks.
Children can give one weeks advance notice to choose their own meal or advise us of dietary requirements
The children enjoy a variety of playground activities at lunchtime. We regularly invite parents and friends into school for lunch.
