I’m sure you have noticed our recent influx of masonry bees on the front dry stone wall and front school wall. Paula has kindly put together a factsheet about these bees, there is a copy on the wall by school as well.
Loom bands needed please!!!
The children of Charlesworth Primary School’s Breakfast Club – Breakfast Buddies – have decided they want to break a World Record, they have decided upon the longest loom band chain made by a group.
As you can imagine this needs to be very, very long, we are looking at approx. 27,000 metres or 27km, so to give you some context it is about 1/4 of the length of the English Channel, as tall as Olympus Mons the largest mountain in the solar system, about four-and-a-half times as tall as a Kilimanjaro or about 250 times as long as a Football Pitch!!
So they are doing a shout out for as many loom bands as they can get please. If you have any lying around getting in the way please bring them down to give to Breakfast Buddies.
Thank you very much and join us in wishing them luck!!
Please see information below that has gone home in bags today about Governor places, we have two spaces if you would like to be a Charlesworth School Parent Governor. If you would like any further information please contact school.
Please click on this link which will take you to the Diary Dates sheet for the Summer Term 2018.
A copy will be going home with children today.
Have a lovely Easter.
The Easter Service will take place on Wednesday 21st March at 2pm at Methodist Church, Chisworth.
The children will be walking to and from the church and we would like any parents who are attending the service to walk with the children to the church. Please let the class teacher know if you are able to help.
You will be able to take your child home straight after the service.
We hope you will be able to join us for the service.
Please be aware that school is open as normal from Monday 5th March. Apologies for any inconvenience last week.
After consulting with other local schools, we have taken the decision to close on Friday 2nd March due to the adverse weather conditions. Please be aware that any decision to close is not taken lightly and made on the basis of ensuring the safety of pupils, staff and parents. Hopefully, school will be open again on Monday as usual.
